For this assignment, I was assigned to illustrate the Afghan girl in the illustration style of Olivia Field. Field is an editorial illustrator who uses vivid colors and perspective. When approaching this project, I tried a mixture of her portrait and editorial style. I proceeded with the editorial route as it matched the nature of her work and allowed for more explorations. I created a destruction narrative for the Afghan girl as she watches her home crumble before her in dusk and flames.
